Are You a Wishful Recycler?
Wishful recyclers toss the wrong items into curbside recycling bins hoping they will be recycled. Poor recycling can cause contamination and wreak havoc on recycling process.
The Recycling Yard is Open
The recycling area at the DPW garage will re-open on the following:
- The First Saturday of the month from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.
- The Third Wednesday of the month from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.
Clean recyclables only Franklin Township Residents only.

Plastic Bag Ban
Effective May 4th, 2022 NJ Law will ban single-use plastic bags at all retail stores, food service businesses and grocery stores, as well as paper bags at grocery stores at or larger than 2,500 square feet.
New Tire Recycling Program
In an effort to control West Nile Virus and other diseases spread by mosquitos, the Warren County District Landfill, in conjunction with the Warren County Board of Chosen Freeholders, the Warren County Mosquito Commission and the Warren County Health Department, will begin accepting the following tires from “RESIDENTS, SMALL BUSINESSES AND FARMING COMMUNITY IN WARREN COUNTY ONLY” at the landfill on a “DAILY BASIS”. The landfill is located at 500 Mt. Pisgah Ave, Oxford, NJ. Proof of residency will be required.
Latex Paint Disposal
Latex (also called “water based”) paint is NOT a hazardous waste and should be disposed of at the curb with the rest of your household trash. Here’s how to properly dispose of latex paint.
