Senior Walk Initiative

Franklin Township would like to announce the ‘Senior Walk Initiative’. This will permit any resident senior to use the Community Center on specific days and times to exercise during the cold winter days. For the winter weeks every Monday at 1.00pm – 3.00pm and Thursday 9.00am – 11.00am we will open the doors to the Community Center and allow participants to use the facility walk the courts. All participants must register first either at the main municipal office during opening hours or download the forms here and drop them off at the main office.

Guidelines for Skin Infections in Contact Sports

Skin infections can be transmitted by both direct contact (person-to-person) and indirect contact (contact with items in the environment). While most skin infections are transmitted through direct skin-to-skin contact, indirect contact via shared equipment, towels, or poor hygiene can also contribute to transmission. The risk of transmission is higher in sports involving substantial direct skin-to-skin contact, such as wrestling and football. Prevention and control measures should be used to reduce the risk of disease transmission among student athletes.

Reservation Check List:

1. Check to see availability using calendars below
2. Submit to Township Clerk the following:
   1. A completed Facility Use Agreement form with dates and times.
   2. A Check for the proper Registration Fee and Usage fee made out to Franklin Township - Recreation Fund
   3. A Damage Deposit Check for amount listed in Fee Schedule made out to Franklin Township - Recreation Fund
   4. All coaches must sign the "Franklin Township Community Center Procedures" Form. One form per organization   
3. Note- Form Due Dates
   1. Activities for the fall/winter (October 1 thru March 31) are due on September 7th @ the meeting.
   2. Activities for the spring (April 1- June 30) are due at the scheduling meeting in late January.
